I heard that FFF was dead. News to me.

The LL Movie script was finally finished a week or two ago, so I’ll be wrapping that up next, and then I’ll be resuming my BD projects. As for Hibike, that’s stalled at the editor, who has been very busy with work lately. I’m not sure I can give an ETA, but he has been making steady (albeit slow) progress on 06. As for KmE’s BD projects, they’re stalled at him being lazy and playing too much Skyrim or something. Feel free to harass him.

Bit of a TL note: What Shido and Yoshino are doing ~28 minutes in is a Japanese variation of Rock Paper Scissors where the winner of each round gets to advance up a number of steps equal to the number of kana characters in a particular word corresponding to what they used to win: “Glico” for rock, “pineapple” for paper, and “chocolate” for scissors. For example, chocolate is チョコレイト, and pineapple is パイナップル, so a win with paper or scissors allows advancing 6 steps. Shido and Yoshino recite these characters as they count their steps. Glico is グリコ, so a win with rock only allows advancing 3 steps.

While I’m at it, yoshiyoshi is what one says when petting someone (as Shido is at 28:52), and kurukuru means spinning around (as Kurumi is at 39:00). Fucking name puns.

DATE A LIVE Director’s Cut – Vol.01

For those of you who weren’t aware we were doing this, this is the director’s cut released last year. This will entirely supersede our old S1 releases. On top of the additional scenes that the old releases didn’t have, I’m fixing a lot of outstanding issues with the subs, and improving the styling and some typesetting.

I originally wanted to release this all at once since it came out all at once, but we’ve decided to release it like this for a number of reasons. Yes, they aren’t really volumes. Sue me. The rest will come over the next couple of weeks.

Also, please stop asking about the movie. Yes, I know you guys really want it. Yes, I know I promised ages ago that it would be soon. I’m sorry, and I’m working on it.
