Not sure if this is appropriate to post here, but for the batch I think this line is wrong: At about 13:28, I think it’s not “the kids won’t be at the open house” but rather “the kids won’t be at the prelims because of the open house”. I.e. it’s で as in reason, not location. Makes more sense in context because the two of them are at the prelims later and the kids aren’t.
That’s not even our line. If you read the whole line you’d know that that’s not the point and that it has nothing to do with the prelims. “And most kids won’t come to their own school’s open house.” They’re talking about the uranohoshi student body in general.
I did read the whole line, I just didn’t quote it exactly. Wasn’t trying to suggest an exact replacement either, just thought that if your translator/editor watched/listened to that scene again they would see what I’m talking about and consider changing it however they see fit.
I think it does have to do with the prelims. That’s where Chika’s sisters are when they say that line, and they’re saying they’ll have to cheer even harder because the Uranohoshi students won’t be there to cheer, because they’ll be at the open house instead. Later in the episode, we see that Chika’s sisters are pretty much the only ones there cheering for Aqours at the prelims, and we do see quite a few Uranohoshi students watching the performance at the open house, so the second interpretation of the line makes more sense. If it was true that most of the students weren’t going to their own open house, as the current line says, then some of them might have gone to the prelims to cheer on Aqours, but as far as I can tell they didn’t.
