The owner himself confirmed he killed it cause he didn’t want to to risk going to prison. So instead of actually just going to another unaffected domain he pussied out.
All of the DNS he was using were EU-based, and there was recently a ruling on some apps of an streaming TV box or something like that which text had some passages that could be understood it could affect Nyaa’s owner if they ever targeted the site, which being THE major anime torrent site would be just a matter of waiting.
So before now, everything involved had been totally legal and there was nothing to worry about? In the decade or so it was up, the closest anyone came to trying to take it down was the occasional DDOS. Even if the EU ruling was the reason for it, there were plenty of ways to back out without trashing the whole site. Nyaa was just a cagey retard.

Almost certainly the 720p one is correct.
Also, you have an old release. This batch doesn’t have any such issues and doesn’t even use that kara.
