FFF Summer 2017 Plans
I suppose it’s news post time again.
After excusing myself from making a proper plans post last season due to lack of confirmed plans, I’m going to make one this season even though we have even fewer plans. Why? Because I can. I’ll also formalize our new pickups from the previous season (which we will finish eventually) just because.
I’m sure this will come as no surprise to anybody, but we’re not picking up any new TV projects this season. This does not mean that we’re shutting down. In fact we already have confirmed plans for Fall.
Just a side note, and this has always been true, but we will not be releasing anything on TV when there are BD sources uploaded. This doesn’t mean those projects are dropped—it just means they’ll just be released on BD raws from the start.
And yes, I know we fell way behind on everything last season. I don’t need 9001 people commenting to point that out or shitpost about the state of fansubbing. I’m sorry. I have to personally admit that this time, it was entirely my fault for a number of reasons: terrible time management, trying to edit too many shows myself, and completely underestimating how little free time I’d have under my new circumstances. Again, I’m sorry, but I plan to finish them.

It is now because I’ll release BDs here and there’s no way I’ll get to it before more of them are up.
Eromanga was always supposed to be low priority. It’ll move once I catch up more on my work for saekano/SQ.
Dropout is waiting for the TLCer to finish the last 3 episodes, which I imagine he will soon. He’s done 09 which will be out soon. This is highest priority of the shows you listed.
Asterisk is very backlogged. We’ll finish it before I retire but I can’t promise any sooner than that. If you’re still waiting to watch this, just watch CR/HS.

If you don’t mind me asking. How come you don’t just recruit more members to FFF to keep the lights on during the various seasons?
I know it’s not as easy as making a post and magically getting x amount of people willing and able to join. But surely getting enough people together to do something would keep the regulars happy?
I personally don’t really care regardless if you do anything this season, but after reading the above I was just curious if anything.
That still takes time out of my day for management and screening. And you’d be surprised. People completely new to the scene usually need training or coaching too, and a lot tend to quit after the first couple months. Anyway if I can start managing my weekend time better, you’ll see lights on this season.

BD releases are clearly your guys’ strong point. I would be more than okay if you completely gave up on TV releases altogether and just stuck to doing BDs.

That aside, as long as it’s coming out later rather than never I can wait. My experience of waiting for Menclave’s release for Gundam 00 Season 2 has taught me to be VERY patient while waiting for anime releases. Thanks for your hard work FFF!

Thanks a bunch for your time. Love your group and hope you guys don’t burn out like a ton of other groups seem to be doing recently, I don’t know what I’d do without you guys.
DXD batches are @Eien who I don’t think cares about them anymore so I have no idea if they’ll happen. Kill la Kill batch is waiting for Juular to fix some things which will happen god knows when because he’s not even in our staff channel anymore. Konosuba S1 batch will get done once I take care of some higher priority things. WCW BDs I’m pretty sure we have no plans for. Souma S2 BDs will happen eventually. DXD S4 is extremely unlikely because the staff who worked on that are now either retired or don’t want to sub the show again. Souma S1 OVAs have been started. First one just needs TS which KmE told me he’ll do soon. S3 is up to the show’s editor and TLC, but they’re still around and ready to go so I imagine that will happen.
Just to clarify. can you guys give me a status for a ReLIFE BDs?
KmE was working on them last weekend so I’d imagine you’d see a release soon.

Well, SNAFU S2 is pretty dead. The translator is busy, and I think I’m supposed to TLC it now, but I find it to be the most boring thing ever. I think the other two projects are relatively less dead, but I could be wrong.
